Dino math and patterns

All you need is paper marker and your dinosaurs. On a piece of paper write some math like: 2+4= , or 6-2= then ask your child if 2 Dino friends are playing with 4 Dino friends how many Dino friends are playing together ? Use the dinosaurs toys. Then ask if 6 Dino friends are playing together but 2 needs to go home, how many dinosaurs are now playing together ?



You can make a pattern with colors, 1 green, 2 brow.. ask your child to continue the pattern.

If you have many of the same species you can make a pattern by name. Dimetrodon and Stegosaurus in this example.
